Compassionate spay and neutering services
If you can prevent your female pet from becoming pregnant with spaying, you can help them live a longer, healthier life. It will not change your pet's personality. If you have questions or concerns about sterilization, we can discuss them during your puppy or kitten's visit.
Recommended timeline
- 6 months for small breed dogs and cats
- 4-6 months for medium and large breed dogs
- Female dogs should wait at least 8 weeks after their heat cycle
- Female cats have no such restriction
Our hours
McGuire Veterinary Services is open Saturday mornings for the convenience of the folks working Monday through Fridays. 24-hour emergency services are also available.
